*is way to lazy and yawns due to exhaustion from typing too much*
The first week was pretty hectic. I ended up being an hour late when I finally arrived in Finland. Their airport is very different to. You land down take a path to get your passport stamped. Then go down another few courses to where your luggage is which you pick up by yourself. The next room leads to anyone who is waiting for your arrival. The plane trip was pretty tiring. I got home, had taken a shower and a nap. Went to go see Mummu and Pappa(Grandma and Grandpa), then came home. On my second day, I went to go see Hempa and Paivie(I think that is her name.) They wanted me to take us out to eat on Thursday. The next day my Cousin Antie(Aunt-e) and the baby came over with Anties wife. Then the next day I went to eat. I gave my aunt Hempa and Aunt Uncle a gift.. They just had taken the bag, and said. ''Thank you. That was very nice.'' then shoved it in their trunk.. I found that odd and they kept asking me to please eat when I was not very hungry and filled up with the spaghetti. They are just kind of distant like that, and the only ones who did not see the baby at all as opposed to the rest of the family. Then my cousin Elina called and said we should go to the zoo. So we went around 2 p.m. which was fun. My uncle Hempa called -who owns restaurants and said that we could eat for free at one of his places. So me and cousin Elina went to go and eat at Tex Mexico. I had some interesting nachos with mostly cheese, and my cousin had something similar to a soft taco. Then she had some vanilla cake, and I had a soft cookie in a bowl topped with chocolate and warm fudge. It was delicious. I will link you to pictures for the zoo. Hee hee.. It was very big and lovely. Some of the animals you could get up really close to and take pictures from up close. It was a really nice expierience to! Not like most zoos where they look like they are living in a shoe box.

After that. I then went to the summer house for about two weeks, and over there I went do do some horseback riding which was kind of fun after going to two different places.. Went to see my mom's cousins daughter Henriika with her family and her cousin Yaani. One of the horseback ridings was on a trail, and the other was more for instructing. Antie, his wife, and the baby came over. So did Mummu and Pappa. We played some french game where you throw a little rock and roll a big metal ball, and whoever was closest to the rock, wins. Then you just keep playing like that till you get bored.. Antie was the first to stop playing. Then my uncle Unski left right after him.. hee hee. So it was me, Antie's wife, and Aunt Eeva. One of the nights there was a rattling in the summer cottage in the roof. Two little bats came out about 5-6 inches big. They fluttered around me and then followed me around the summer cottage till me and Uncle Unski let them out. I have not seen any others come out, but there still was some more rattling on the roof. They were very cute with a deep brown to black-ish color. At first I thought they were birds. The summer cottage is very small and you can go swimming in a big lake, rowing a boat, go fishing, feed the little fish that come by, see some wildlife(I already saw a fox and a rabbit. They also have wolves and bears, moose, birds, deer and other animals.), you an even pick berries to. Finnish strawberries are very sweet. My cousin Mikko came over for a night and we went fishing.. We could only find two fish.. He kept asking me where the fish were, and I told him, ''In the water.''
We arrived back on Fathers day. I got my uncle some grilling stuff because he told me he needed them.
I have a job up here to. I already got payed 200 euros which is 282 in American cash. I am my uncle Unski's, and Aunt Eeva's assitant. I usually sit around in the office and copy things or write out lists, or help clean and whatever they need. Other times I go help out on the construction sites helping move stuff. My uncle Unski builds restaurants, and my Uncle Hempa owns restaurants. I guess it works out, yet they do not really talk to each other very much.
On the 25th I helped bake Finnish cinnamon buns which are really sweet. Then the next two days I went to my Aunt's Brother's baby christening. Then I went to Antie's baby christening. There were so many people.. I do not even know many of them at all.. After that, things came more relaxing and I was back at work doing usual office stuff.
July first I went to the movie with my cousin Elina and her husband Vescu.
July 2nd - I went to Hempas and Pavies summer house. The first thing my uncle Unski did when we got there was not take a seat. I had to make him follow me. It was a little more spacious and they have a round pond with a little bridge in the back, and sometimes they have ducklings running around since but the mother ducks have been absent due to a fox coming around. We ate..(They eat a lot here in Finland.) Then I went to go see some farm animals.. It was me Uncle Hempa, and Uncle Unski. You could not believe what they did! They did not even talk to each other at all the whole time! They really have problems with one another.
July 3rd
Today I was on the city side for about 6 1/2 hours.
Saturday I go to Tallina in Estonia. I get one night on the big boat, we have a few hours to walk around Tallina, then come back.
Sunday in Estonia we had taken some pictures and had awoken pretty early in the morning and the shops were still closed. They had that really loud bell kind of like a London clock that went DING! For like every 5 seconds.. Not sure exactly what it was.. We went looking into souvenir stores and stuff and the roads are cobbled stone. They had old buildings, while other parts were renovated.(Ugh.. They keep using the word renovated.. Renovated.. Renovated.) Some of the jewlery was really pretty! They had little stone or was it crystal? Anyways they were tiny little animal figurines that were very adorable. Every shop was small, but different. We went into some shoe shop and they had leopard spotted shoes. Had not ever seen anything like that in my life. Other places had matching outfits and stuff. Like most stores, some shopes were interconnected. Nothing seperate. Food shope, clothes, jewlery. Everything in one big building.. I am not to interested in travelling and all but it was ok I guess. i got bored during the second half because Elina and Eeva were buying beers and stuff.. The only thing that really bugged me was that on the way to the boat when we had to leave and go up the elevator... Eeva had to stop in some liquor or wine store or something and buy more crap. xx.. I had to convince Unski to drag Elina out of the store.. and Unski got stuck with Eeva at: that ugly old liqour/wine store. Anyways.. Tallina had a lot of tall buildings and small shops everywhere.. to much I think.. Or at least for me. The best part ever was back on the ship. No warm water to shower.. It was freezing cold. The ship was called the Baltic Princess(Do not ever go on it unless of course you want to.) They had a teeny tiny pool, they had an awful tango music place with an awful singer. The Starlight Palace was the best. They had a disco place with cube plastic squares raised up high to sit on. The eating section was ok. You could go at 6 p.m. or 9 p.m. It was not even an actual night on the ship considering we already arrived there for the 60 mile. The only thing I liked was getting my stuffed animal black panther and the HUGE boxes of candy which I thought were cheap. Me and Elina ate it the whole way back. I will have to buy you some candy before I leave! Not sure what you like though. Speak up!
Now just yesterday(July 8th.. Not sure when you read this)
I went out to eat with Hempa and Paiv-e.. whatever her name is and we walked arond some old town in the place I forgot and did not really care for the name of.. It was the second oldest in Finland! Whoopee. Now can we go eat please? xx.. We went to some farm and saw animals! Dogs, pigs, reindeer, goat, sheep, lamb, a cow that was closest to the fence and just went.. MOOOOOOOO every five seconds.. A little baby one. We even hgave it food and it just went MOOOOOOOOOO... and walked away and looked at us with another MOOOOOO and kept moooing as we walked away Some ponies.. and I think that basically covers it except for a few donkeys. We ate on some boat restuarant.. LOL HAHA.. Paive said it was private because we were the only ones on the first floor. Everyone else sat at top and ate up there. Then they ate stuff.. Forgot what really. And I ate a pasta with cider sauce which was really strong to.. And it had two pieces of chicken on it and some rabbit food that looked like the grass outside that we fed the animals.. Every one of them said.. ''You can feed them but..'' blah blah blah. Then we walked around and Hempa had a cake.. i had some ''original'' vanilla ice cream thing.. and Paive had some wine. Then Paive wanted some soft creamy ice cream and we had to go eat more ice cream again.. Oh yeah! When we were eating.. I all of a sudden got lost in though or bored or something and noticed aunt paivee was missing one of her long manicured fingernails... xx I guess I got bored of talking or was tired or something.. Then she asked me if I liked clothes and i said not really.. Then she was all.. Reasonable.. Clever! I just like to buy and buy and buy.. or something like that like she had to prove herself.. Oh yeah.. and when we were eating.. at the boat restuarant place thing.. Hempa wastaking out his credit card and Paive started looking at it and was all.. Where did you get that? Hempa said it was new because he broke his other one.. Then she was all.. I shouldbreak mine to! xx.. Then before we could go get ice cream.. She acted all royal or noble taking her time to clean her faec with a napkin and drink some water from the wine glass like in a movie.. I was thinking: Oh Jesus! For christs sake! Lets get on with the program.. xx..
Oh yeah.. We go out again with them today to!
(End here: July 9th)
Ok.. So I last started at July 8th...
Now its July 9th.. We stay a night back in the summer house. But.. Early that morning I was helping Elina and her bf Vesco move stuff in their house instead of going to work.. On the way back home.. She was all.. Do you promise me that you will go surfing with me.. I said maybe.. She said that's a promise! I end up getting brought back to the office and me, Mikko, and Aunt Eeva were talking.. So I said are you going bowling with us? She said maybe.. Then I go.. You said that maybe was a promise. Mikko says you can't count on her. Then I say. You can count on me.. We all laugh. This is their 7th time moving now.. They are heading to their 8th. On the way back home.. She was all.. Do you promise me that you will go surfing with me.. I said maybe.. She said that's a promise!
The next day while me, Eeva, and Unski are at the summer house, we went outside in this forest that Unski owns where he sells pine trees.. the little christmas looking ones.. and we were chopping down roots and other things that block the trees from growing. Very boring... I just layed in bed the rest of the day because I was so bored of the summer house and all they did was EAT + watch tv.. the WHOLE time.
Today (July 12th) I went bowling with Mikko, Auntti, Mikko's Girlfriend Maria, and Aunti's wife Anna..(So many A's) from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Elina was supposed to come with her old old boyfriend Vescu.. Since they have been together for 8 years.. lol..
But she was all.. My friend invited me over. So she went to her friends house instead.. I did not have to keep my (maybe) promise. Before we went bowling we at at some outside grill nearby.. They kept asking me to eat.. and eat.. and eat.. and eat... PLEASE! Cousin Mikko already knows I do not eat a lot. So he asked me who eats the most. Was it Mummu and Pappa? I said no. It was Eeva and Unski. We ate 3 different kids of sausages.. Habanero(Chilli), Pepper with cheese, and plain. Obviously.. Cousin Antti likes everything well done so its cripsy and burnt. He was the chef and I had to tell him to make sure to eat it first so the food is not poisoned. He ate it and liked it the way he cooked it.. So we burned everything else to.. Later we had some corn. Cousin Antii said it was ok.. Since it was not well done the way he liked it. Anyways.. At bowling.. Í do not know who won.. But I accidently threw a bowling ball backwards and some guys who were bowling next to us just kinda freaked out and jumped... The only funny thing.. Everyone was kind of quiet.. So I guess the whole bowling thing was taken pretty seriously... So by the time we got back from bowling.. There is Eeva making food again.. And then we all have to sit down in eat.. Everyone takes a first round as well as I and everyone but Unski and Eeva(They do not get why we laugh) starts laughing. I say.. Yay. More food. I'm starving. Who wants to eat some more? So everyone else starts cracking up and Eeva and Unski start laughing but do not know what at. But they laugh anyways. HAR HAR HAR.. hee hee.. Yeah.. You know.. When you laugh.. Just to feel like you get the inside joke? Yeah.
Now its July 13th.. This whole week is Eeva's week off from work and we went to go help her find a picture at some small shop art gallery since she does not like the old one on the wall in her living room anymore. Then we found Unski a new pair of shoes.. Eeva thinks he should have more than one, but Unski does not think so.. Then we ate some Minttu(Mint.. an I correct in my spelling?) ice cream..
´
July 14th. I take Eeva and Unski out to eat. We ate at some place.. with a really really long name and I had some garlic bread with butter because I was not very hungry.. and Eeva and Unski both ate the same thing... Fish with... some other stuff on their plate.
July 15th -Today
I am staying at the office for a little bit, then going out with Yenni to the movies at 4 p.m. Also, possibly eating before then at some Italian restuarant or something.. There are not many good movies that seem interesting.. Yenni almost likes everything yet she has not been to the movies in a while, and I like all movies.. I was thinking a Transformers: Revenge of the fallen, Ice age 3, A night in the museum(second movie) or The Haunting in Conneticut which is based on a true story.. Those all seem interesting. Although we wil make a final decision later today.
Thoughts:
The place here is very different. Its quiet, not a lot of people and a lot of forest and countryside with wildlife. When you go to the city market, they have shops, and tiny places on the streets to. Usually when you go to the grocery store over here, its connected to something like a mall. A great big store. They have about 114 shops or more to go to. The movies are different to. Its all connected to a big store with shops. They have more licorice than anything else for candy, and some of the drinks are the same. You can actually see people outside biking, walking, and driving. Mostly, they have shops connects to one big gigantic store. People are actually outside to. There are people walking, biking and driving.. The city streets even have old roads that have cobbled stone. I even saw a very tiny old fashioned car. with a tiny trunk in the back and two seats. They have a metro station to go to other places. The sun only goes down for about 3 hours of darkness. When you are in the grocery store section, its seperated into many parts, so things like wine would be seperate from the food and clothing/makeup. You bring your own bags and they have a place to recycle bottles inside and you get cash from it to.. Today there was about.. 12 people in line and someone had a cart full of bottles, and the other one had a garbage bag full of them. They have a main entry door to the stores, and the rest have little tiny metal bar like doors that open up when you walk through. They have big car parking garages, and everyone has a little parking meter of their own so they can park and stay for four hours changing it to the time they arrived. I guess its mandatory. When you are out in the city streets, it is very diverse. One second you will see normal people or bikers coming by, then some punk people with different colored hair and accessories. Then skater kids coming by. Then people who may wear all black. Then people who are dressed up like rockers and so on. Its pretty neat to. Everyone has their own little thing about themselves. Some of the drinks here are different. Like if you wanted a nestea iced tea, it actually tastes like real tea. No mixing stuff. The orange flavored fanta actually tastes more like an actual orange to. Another thing, they even have the spinny doors you push to walk through.. But its not one for each person. They just have two big ones for a group of people to go in at once. Some of the songs that they have are old and new.
